Silk Mill Waste HANDSPUN Trash Tweed
These vibrant mending threads are handspun in very small batches. The main material used is silk mill waste, which can be acquired in a myriad of colors, with variation that produces a beautiful tweed effect when spun on thread scale. Some threads are core spun with dead stock polyester thread which reduces the bulk of the thread and increases the strength. Threads are wrapped on hand stamped bobbin cards that were inspired by vintage mending thread cards and these cards are designed to be reused! Cards are marked with the thread characteristics (WPI, fiber content, quantity, lot #) but we used pencil so that you can erase and reuse over and over.
